Crazy!!

Me,,,, a little bit I suppose. But I had to have a go at the crazy patchwork kit that I bought at Westpoint.
The next photo is a close up,, can you see the spider charm???
I want to use the block in a bag of some sort,, just need to find a suitable pattern!!!
I went in to town this morning to run a few errands, and popped into a charity shop. A pair of wrap-a-round trousers caught my eye. Not to wear,, but to cut up and use some how.

There is quite a lot of fabric,, maybe a metre and a half....And it only cost me £3.50!!!!

Completed!

I have finished my Funky Chick cushion cover. I bought the fabrics from Westpoint,, and thought they went very well with the colours of the stitchery. My DH actually helped me with the placing of squares. The fabrics are "Treasures Of The East", by Hoffman California International Fabrics.

In a postcard swap with an online group, we had to make a card with the theme of 'modern flowers'. I received the following card from Angela! It is a blue poppy thread painted from a photo. I must say that this photo does not do the card justice.
The next card is the one I made for my swap partner, Tessa.
The flowers are 3D,,and I have a way to go before I can thread paint like Angela!!

Westpoint.

Last Sunday, the 1st of April, I went to the quilt show at Westpoint in Exeter. There were some lovely quilts on show,, and I did take some pictures,, but I will not be putting them on here! I do not want to upset the owners. Whilst there I made a few purchases,,

I bought this as I want to try a Crazy Patchwork block,, and this has a lot of bits!!
I did buy a pack of fat quarters to finish off the Funky Chick embroidery cushion that I am making,, and thought I had a picture of it,, but I can't find it!!
It was a really strange day at the show,,, in the fact that it was 'very' quiet!! Hardly anyone there,, no pushing or shoving. Brilliant!!
Off to work on my Crazy Patch,, quite addictive actually. Hopefully there will be a picture of that next time!!
