A Happy New Year To You All!!
I will be in bed by 10pm tonight, as I have to get up at 5 in the morning, to be in work for 6am!! I always watch Jools Holland and his Hootenanny, but will miss it this year.
I am Happy that I have finished my Recycled Charm Quilt,, made with charity shop finds and some stash.
The legs belong to my DH,, still in his dressing gown!
All done by hand!! I still have to do the label for it.
I am Happy that Sergei found his way to me,, safely!
(courtesy of compare the wotsit).
I am Happy that my Aunt sent me this book,,,
I have quite a few projects in mind for 2012,,,, I will just have to wait to see if I get them done!!!!

Lovely Day!
I needed to go to the Post Office in the village on Monday and thought I would take my camera as it was a nice day. Cold but nice, one of those 'glad to be out' days.
It was such a lovely morning!!!
In a small green area where I live, is a tree stump,,,, where these mushrooms have been growing.
Ooooops,,, you need to tilt your head to the right to see the first picture properly,,,
Not much creating lately,,,,,hope to do some this weekend,, I have 4 days off work!!

My Grandson,,,,,
doesn't like RaaRaa!
How could you not love that little face! My GS took one look at him and said 'Noooo'. He went home without him!!! We think he didn't like him as RaaRaa should be on the telly,, not in Nannies' sitting room!

A Few Things!
I have been off work this week with a throat infection, (hopefully gone) but I have tried to do a little something everyday,,, knitting, sewing, reading. I have to tidy my sewing room (spare bedroom) for the visit of eldest son and grandson in two weeks time. As I was tidying/playing with my fat quarters I counted nearly 140 of the little things. I have sorted them into colours and plains/patterns. (No photo though). Just a few more things to 'tidy' up then I'm done.
DH has bought me a couple of pressies this week,
The book is one that I saw at the Autumn Quilt Show at Malvern the other week, and the bamboo needles I have wanted for a couple of weeks. They are great to knit with, although a little long. DH said I could always cut them down!!!
Thought I would make myself an armchair caddy. I already made one, but it was a bit small. So I did a little measuring and came up with this. I need to keep the red note/address book close to hand, along with a few other bits and pieces when I am knitting/sewing etc.

Something New!
I was allowed out on Sunday for being good, and went to the Autumn Quilt Festival at Malvern! I didn't take any pictures of the quilts as I forgot my camera. I made a few purchases, including a cup of tea and a slice of cake. That cost as much as 5 of my fat quarters!!
I couldn't resist the basket type bag, or the purple/lilacs fat quarters. I found some lightweight fusible wadding at a rather reasonable price too!!
I got the monkey fabric for my Cheeky Monkey grandson,,,no idea what I'll be doing with it yet!
I have also been busy making an Embroidery Folder,,,,,
I finished it off this morning with the little silver scissor charm!

My Brother!
I would like to introduce you all to my Brother! He will be 3 years old in December.
He is an InnoVis 900, and I won him in a competition run in the Popular Patchwork Magazine! The only thing he doesn't do is make a cup of tea!
I had him do me some name labels for a friend. The top photo is him doing the labels handsfree, ie using the embroidery unit, and the lower one is just normal monogramming!!

Old Bags!!
I thought I'd show off some old bags, for those of you who haven't seen them before.
This 'Bow Tucks' bag was my very first bag I made, and I can't tell you what pattern it was,, cos I have lost it!
This was from a pattern by Brenda Dean, The Oriental bag.
These next two were out of the Popular Patchwork magazine. September and October 2009.
The next two were made using 5" charm packs. The 1st one is a Charm Tote Bag, and the one under is a Big Bag Theory bag from an American magazine.
And the last one if from a pattern by Sunflower Corner Quilting.
