As the title suggests,, I am waiting,,, for some free time to make a start on my 9 patch blocks for my red and white quilt,,,
As the above picture shows,, I have all the bits already cut out, and waiting,,,,I do have a week off work next week,,,
This is a pile of squares that may be spares,, if I don't put a pieced border around the quilt top.
The next picture is of a piece of fabric,, 10" x 21",, to be used in my quilt groups challenge. I have to use all of it in whatever I make, and I can embellish it, stamp it, dye it, rip it, tear it etc. etc..
Any suggestions??????? I was thinking of making one of my Tilda bears, if there is enough fabric!!! Watch this space!!

  1. Those red fabrics look yummy.
Did you really have all those different prints in your stash?
I think the ugly fabric would make a great practice "sandwich" for free motion quilting.

  2. how wonderful to have a whole week off.
Im really intrigued to see what you make with that piece of fabric and Im for sure will watch this space. lol
The red fabric looks real good.

  3. WOW! Your red and white quilt is going to look stunning. Have a good week off sewing. The abstract fabric looks challenging!

  4. Really looking forward to seeing your red and white quilt finished Caz, it's going to be stunning! As for your group challenge piece, I would use it as the bottom layer of about five or six layers to make some faux chenille! Enjoy your sewing break and keep snug!

  5. Your red and white is right up my street Caz. Enjoy your week.

  6. Watch this space ? I'm watching

  7. I bet that red quilt will absolutely gorgeous.. I have been looking back on all your other sewing and created items and very nice they all were too. You are such a talented lady. Someone one in my sewing class is making a hexie quilt, such tiny stitches, I just steam ahead on my machine!LOL
