Finally,,,,

I have finished my Redwork quilt,,, spurred on by a comment left on my last post.
I quilted it in the ditch and put binding on it,,,,
and I am glad it is finished.

I am knitting yet another shawl, using King Cole Country Tweed DK,,,

I love the way this is knitting up,, the colour change in the yarn is fantastic!!!

Yesterday was a gloriously sunny day,, so DH and I went to Burnham On Sea. I had never been there before,,,
Not a cloud in the sky,,,, so quiet,,,, and this was at 11.30 am.

And here are my latest blocks for the BOM,,,

Here's hoping the weather stays 'nice' for a while!!

  1. Wow to your quilt. Your dedication has been worth it. I'm knitting up socks at the moment with self patterning yarn.

  2. Did you embroider all those white squares? It certainly looks great. I've never been to Burnham on Sea either - looks like one for the next sunny day!

  3. I love you quilt Caz, what a lot of work. I know because I am making a Lynette Anderson quilt, with only 12 the embroidered blocks. I really like your red and white quilt, I am wondering what is the history of red and white. better start Googling LOL
Lovely work Caz, I'm sure you labelled it, as it's sure to become a real heirloom.
