A Little Sewing,,, and not much else!

What a gorgeous weekend we (the UK) have just had! Sunshine all the way!!! I have been working on a little stitchery to go into a cushion cover.

I have yet to sort out the fabrics for the main piece,, but I am going to the Exeter quilt show at Westpoint at the weekend,, so I might just get something then!!
I did have the thought of dying a few old white shirts that I'll never wear again,,

but the green is a bit too blotchy on the finished item. I don't think I stirred the 'cauldron' enough!!!
At the weekend,, DH and I went to West Bay, just outside Bridport in Dorset. What a lovely little place,, a favourite for motorcyclists of all ages.
We walked along the beach in front of the cliff you see in the above picture. Then we walked back along the top of it! Not to bad the other side, but coming down this side,,,,, a little bit scary.

The following pictures' subject was my DH's. I resisted!

DH did treat me to a drink the other week,, I have only ever seen this in pubs'.
Very nice!!!

  2. Lovely stitching, is it from 'Doodle Stitching'?
West Bay is one of my favourite places, except when my 2 year old fell in water on New Years Day! Didn't do him any harm, he's 25 now.

  3. Your stitchery is very pretty Caz, I hope you manage to find the fabric you are looking for this weekend. I enjoy dyeing my own fabrics too, but I like blotchy, so don't give up on it, you'll find a use for it I'm sure. We've had a couple of lovley holidays in Bridport, and we love West Bay. You are very lucky to live in such a beautiful part of the country, I'm very envious.

  4. Love West Bay! Were the motorcyclists actually on the 1970's Vespa type scooters as we saw hundreds of them heading that way when we were coming back from our break?
